Cherie Binch's profile

Cherie Binch BSc Occupational Therapy (University of Northampton)

Greys Physiotherapy

Occupational therapists can work with you to achieve the things that are important to you and to engage in the activities that you want and need to, using a personalised holistic approach.

This may be achievable through a one-off assessment and report of advice or may require more interactions and a longer period of rehabilitation.

Interventions may include support following a hospital stay, falls prevention, environmental assessments, activity modifications, equipment provision and advice, fatigue management, sleep hygiene, upper limb rehabilitation, confidence building.

Visits predominantly take place in your home.

I have recent experience in a variety of acute and community settings with a wide range of patients with various health conditions. The areas in which I have experience include neurological services (brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, MS, MND, PD), falls prevention services, oncology, elderly rehabilitation, dementia services, care homes, community equipment services with adults and paediatrics (wheelchair services, specialist seating, manual handling equipment and plans for supporting staff).

I have post graduate training in thermoplastic splinting, assessment of motor and processing skills, sensory processing, specialist seating, enhanced safeguarding.

I have special interests in neurological rehabilitation and equipment services (e.g. manual handling equipment and specialist seating).
